I wanted to be Lois Lane when I grew up. She was cool. She was an engaging journalist. She could stand up for herself. She was fearless. And she knew Superman. To this day, I think Lois Lane is one reason for my dedication to writing, learning, and seeking truth.
Writing and teaching are innate in the clay that God chose as means to form me, and the ability has naturally blossomed and been cultivated by dear friends, encouraging teachers, and my own readings of professional writers. I write and teach because I have found that it is my most effective way of loving on people. I agree with C. S. Lewis who writes in The Weight of Glory, “There are no ordinary people . . . . Next to the Blessed Sacrament itself, your neighbour is the holiest object present to your senses.” I believe that a good book, a nice poem, or a thoughtful letter are the best ways to find connections and cultivate intentionality with a loved one or new acquaintance. I am a lover of Pinterest, traveling (especially to the UK), reading, peonies, concerts, and movies. I am passionate about knowledge. I desire to spread this passion through my career as well as through everyday interactions. |
